CW2 JAMES A. ROGERS JR
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP WELCOMES YOU
The CW2 James A. Rogers Jr Memorial Scholarship was initiated in 2021 to provide a non-recurring scholarship to High School Seniors at his Alma Mater Saint James High School in Saint James, Minnesota. Our hope is that with time we can branch out to high schools statewide to spread James' love of education.
Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others.
The CW2 James A. Rogers Jr. Memorial Fund was established in 2021 to honor the educational legacy of James Rogers. James was killed when his UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed near Kimball, Minnesota on December 5, 2019.
James was an outstanding and dedicated student with a great passion for aviation and business. Shortly after high school graduation, James attended Army Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training as a Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems Specialist. Once back from his military courses he enrolled in St Cloud State University. Just as he was starting his collegiate career James was called to serve his country by deploying to Kuwait. While in Kuwait, James decided that his future was in Army Aviation. Then, SPC James Rogers applied, was boarded and accepted into the Army Aviation Warrant Officer Program. Shortly after he attended the Warrant Officer Basic Course followed by flight school at Fort Rucker Alabama. Following flight school James pursued his college education until he was tasked to deploy to Kuwait and Iraq as a Medevac Pilot with C Co 2-211th GSAB. When James returned from overseas, he continued his college studies with his eyes towards graduation. James graduated from Saint Cloud State University with a bachelor's degree in business shortly before his death in December 2019.
James was destined for great things. He was accepted into fixed wing pilot training and planned to attend in 2020. Shortly after completing this certification James aspired to complete his master's degree at the University of Minnesota business or law school. James was highly motivated young man that never stopped reaching for his dreams. It is in James’ memory that we ask for your donation to provide scholarships to other deserving young men and women to carry on his legacy.
